All FGI battery-powered sprayers using lithium-ion packs (DEWALT 20V, CRAFTSMAN, Smith, Scotts, LESCO, and equivalent).
What causes this:
Battery and charger problems usually come down to a depleted battery, a charger with no power, an out-of-range temperature, a damaged charger, a pack too hot to charge, or an end-of-life battery that can no longer hold a charge.
How to fix it:
- Plug the charger into a known-working outlet and confirm the outlet has power.
- Insert the battery firmly until the indicator light comes on.
- Read the LED: solid red means charging, solid green means fully charged, blinking red means the battery is too hot to charge safely.
- If the red light keeps blinking, move the battery somewhere between 40 and 104 degrees F and let it cool about 30 minutes before retrying.
- If red and green alternate, the battery has reached end of life and must be replaced.
- If no lights come on at a working outlet, the charger has failed and should be replaced.
