How to file a warranty claim

If your sprayer is defective and within the warranty period, call or email to request an RMA. Have your proof of purchase, model number, and the chemicals used ready.

Updated June 3, 2026

Applies to:

All FGI-manufactured sprayers (CRAFTSMAN, DEWALT, Smith, HDX, LESCO, Universal, and licensed brands).

What causes this:

If your sprayer is defective and still within its warranty period, you may be eligible for a repair or replacement. To process the claim quickly, our team needs a few details up front.

How to fix it:

  1. Call 1-800-311-9903 or email info@thefgi.com to start your claim and request an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
  2. Provide a copy of your receipt or proof of purchase showing the purchase date. The warranty period starts from that date.
  3. Identify your model number, printed on a label on the tank, the pump, or in the manual (for example DXSP190681, CMXCAFG190640, or 190567).
  4. Tell us which chemicals were used in the sprayer. Some claims are affected by chemical compatibility.
  5. Confirm the sprayer has been thoroughly cleaned. Chemical buildup can look like a defect but is a maintenance issue.
  6. Once we have these details, we issue an RMA number and return instructions, or send a replacement if eligible.
  7. If your warranty has expired, call us for replacement part availability and pricing.

Still stuck? Call us at 1-800-311-9903 or send a message. Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM EST.
