FGI battery and manual sprayers (Smith Performance, DEWALT, CRAFTSMAN, LESCO, and others).
What causes this:
The sprayer runs but only produces a weak, low-pressure spray. The shut-off or nozzle is usually partially clogged, or the pump has not fully primed.
- A partially clogged shut-off assembly
- A partially clogged nozzle
- A pump that has not fully primed
How to fix it:
- Depressurize the sprayer.
- Clean the shut-off assembly, removing debris from inside the fitting and filter.
- Clean the nozzle: remove and disassemble it, then rinse the openings with clean water.
- Allow at least 30 seconds for the pump to fully prime after turning on.
- For manual sprayers, also check the dip-tube filter inside the tank for clogs.
- If low pressure continues, the pump may need service; call 1-800-311-9903.
